Lead Us Not Into Temptation

God's trials in our lives strengthen our faith in Him; and they also have a sanctifying influence in our lives, driving us to greater dependence in & trust in God; in contrast, Satan's temptations drive us away from God and to faithlessness and unbelief, but primarily to sin against God and to distrust His Word.
.......... Listen Christian; it is important to study the temptation of Christ, for in EVERY WAY that the devil tempted Christ; the devil is going to tempt you.
He is going to find your weaknesses and tempt you to NOT trust God; to NOT believe the promises of the Word of God, which are written for YOU and to YOU; and then, he is going to play to your affections for the world.
Here is our petition to our Heavenly Father: Lead me NOT into these temptations; but deliver me from evil!
