Daniel 50 - God's Mercy and Forgiveness

Daniel focuses his prayer on their sinfulness totally relying on God's mercy for forgiveness and return to Jerusalem based only on His Promise and not their works; which were continually evil. This prayer explains why they failed during the first 490 years of their forgiveness while setting the stage for their failure during the next 483 years of their history.
