Philadelphia & The Open Door of Opportunity

We now come to the 6th of the seven churches in Asia Minor (modern-day western Turkey). Known in antiquity as the "gateway" (or door) to Asia, Philadelphia was a strategic city, established for the spread of Greek culture eastward. The theme of this letter is the "open door" that the Lord Jesus has set before this church, though it has only a "little strength". But see what the Lord will do with these faithful saints!
