Pharisees Trap God! WHAT?! How's that workin' out for them?

333 ( 249 | 84 )

Our pastor dutifully tells us that he will relate all he has been teaching over the past several months to the Book of Romans, chapters 8, 9 10 and 11. This is, after all, a Romans study, and we have at least a little faith that he will actually bring it all together and wrap it up in a neat little bow for us. It has happened before... it will happen again.

Pastor Chronister and we Cliffside-ites do very much love and appreciate our Internet audience. From the letters we receive, we are confident that we’re at least doing some good. Pastor reads a letter from a dear lady named Joni from Cincinnati as exhibit A. She introduced another Sharon to us. Sharon from Tennessee. And then, as exhibit B, pastor reads a letter from Sharon from Texas.

But we now must get to our lecture. Pastor has us on wonderful discussion of wood and the deeper meaning it has in the Bible. From Numbers 15:22-41 last week, pastor takes us to one of the places we should go to that relates to that passage, Luke 14:1-6. But before that he talks about things like the Ark of the Covenant, where wood is completely covered by Gold. A fantastic depiction of Jesus Christ; His perfect humanity completely subordinate to His Deity.

For those of you not watching the video of this lecture, here is your list on Luke 14:1-6:
