The Conquest by Him Who Is Faithful and True

Revelation 17-20 form the very heart of the book. They expand upon the vial judgments of chapter 16. In chapter 17, we see from an earthly vantage point the description of the Babylonian system that corrupted the nations. Chapter 18 shows the destruction of that whore-system. Chapter 19 is viewed from heaven and shows how the Lamb is waging war on the beast system and bringing it into judgment.

Chapter 19 contrasts the "alas, alas" of lament in chapter 18 with the "hallelujah" of praise and rejoicing. There are invitations to two suppers—the marriage supper of the lamb and the great supper of God for the birds to feed on the flesh of God's enemies. The Warrior of Heaven is riding His white horse of conquest and victory.
