The Precious Blood
21
How does God deal with people? Covenantally.
A covenant explains the boundaries of a relationship, both the obligations and the restrictions.
Because of Adam's Federal headship, when he failed to keep the covenant, he became a covenant-breaker both in his status and in his nature.
Both the status and the nature were passed on to his descendants.
Christ became a 2nd Adam, a second federal head.
It is the blood of Christ that transfers a person from under the headship of Adam to under the headship of Christ.
