· Two bad practices in churches

I. The Context and Reason for the Parables (vs. 1-2)

A. The Tax Collectors and The Sinner come near
to hear Jesus (v. 1)

B. The Pharisees and Scribes complain (v. 2)

II. There is Great Rejoicing over One Repentant Sinner – Why?

 A.  Repentance is a Work of God

    Natural Man unwilling/unable

    The initial Conversion of the Sinner – 
                   Greater Joy 

B. Greater Joy over One Repentant Sinner than Many who have no need for repentance (v. 7)

    Acts 11:18
