Minor scruples - major problems
Series Studies in Romans
100
Paul wrote in this fourteenth chapter, "For meat destroy not the work of God".
He addresses an issue that relates to every local church, namely the issue of making issues out of insignificant things.
How easy it is for a person's scruples over certain points of lesser doctrine or practice to become elevated onto a central platform to the potential destruction of the work of God.
Paul's emphasis is that we must keep minor things in their place and not allow them to become major devisive issues among God's people.
