The Passion & the Truth of the Gospel

The Bible says that the greatest demonstration of God's love is that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Hebrews 10 says if you don't' recognize your sin and guilt and turn to Christ you are trampling underfoot the Son of God. The death of Christ is an emotional event and there is nothing wrong in being impacted by the death of Christ. But we are not saved by being emotionally impacted. Believing the gospel saves us. We must understand the reality of our own sin and guilt before God.
