Finishing Well

It is certainly possible for a true believer to start well and then forget how amazing the gospel is. The way back is to be moved again by the beauties of the gospel. You need to fill your mind with the aroma of gospel truth, rather than the odour of your own personal performance. For Christians, there are glorious things promised. We will come into the full experience of the grace of God! Worshiping at the level motivates your change in living. Beautiful holiness is our perpetual aim. This refocusing of the mind also helps us to fear the right things. There is so much to fear in this world. But ultimately we come to fear God alone. It is our grasp of the seriousness of this reality that motivates us to love and honour him in our lives.
