Heaven Matters Now

Proposition: Our Lord Jesus Christ warned "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses" (Luke 12:15) and the Apostle Paul restated it this way; "For the love of money is a root of all evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (1 Timothy 6:10). Both of these warnings are illustrated in our text. Will you take heed and turn your heart toward what really matters (i.e. the eternal) or will you be ensnared like the rich man and the Pharisees?
