Romans 01 - Controversy of Paul

Paul had to defend both his apostleship and gospel since he was not of the twelve and did not meet the criteria Peter set forth in Acts Ch 1. This holds true today. The latest assault is the New Perspective on Paul (NPP) movement. Our study of Romans will look at these controversies and at Paul's plain writings to determine if we need to rebuild the Church; for that is the aim of these controversies.
