The LORD commands Moses to perform the 7-day consecration of the priests, Aaron and his sons. This is a time of their perfecting for the ministry of the Lord. There are 3 offerings involved (the sin, burnt, and peace offerings [which has in it a meal offering], and an anointing of the high priest, and an anointing of each priest (including the high priest) which follows.
