Christ Can Forgive You

This sermon covers the familiar account of Jesus healing the paralyzed man who was let down through the roof of the building where Jesus was teaching. Once again Luke's emphasis is on Jesus' teaching, followed by His healing, which is a pattern for us today in the Church. Prior to healing the man, importantly, Jesus forgave His sins. Jesus then healed him in order to prove that He had the authority to forgive sins, which the Pharisees who were present doubted. Thus, once again, Jesus proved that He was Israel's messiah.
