Partakers of Christ

The author to the Hebrews writes, "For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast....(3:14)." This condition is examined especially in view of the perfect tense verb, "have become." The issue is the evidence of truly having become a partaker of Christ with the abiding result of continuing to be the same. The issue is not the retention of salvation based upon the work of holding fast.
