The Parable of a Certain Nobleman

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Certain Nobleman in His parable under that title. It opens saying he went into a "far country". Indeed, Christ went to the cross, the grave, to His resurrected and glorified body, to heaven and to the right hand of the heavenly Father. He thus, received "for himself a kingdom". That's His church, which He redeemed by His blood and righteousness-imputed.
