A Joy Worth Dying For

As we look to and consider Jesus, we ask the question, “What was it that caused Him to be able to endure the cross, how could He go through with it?” Our text tells us that it was the joy that was set before him. But what was this joy that was set before him? What was worth dying for? What was worth suffering such shame, such pain, and enduring the wrath of God against sin? What could possible empower Jesus to endure the cross? What was the joy that Jesus died for?
