Pray for the Peace of Babylon

Even in exile in Babylon, Israel could prosper, but she had to pray for the shalom (peace, prosperity, health, harmony) of the city where God had sent her: Babylon.

Like Israel in exile, the Church is a pilgrim people, living away from the city of our true citizenship. But also like Israel in exile, believers can be blessed in the place of captivity as we await the return of the King and our restoration to our true home.
