A Pastoral Prayer

Prayer is one of the greatest privileges of the Christian. Prayer is one of the greatest responsibilities of a faithful Pastor. Paul was such a pastor who prayed earnestly for his flock. He prays that he might come to them to be able to strengthen their faith and that they would increase in love leading to Holiness and being prepared for the Return of Christ.
Spurgeon – “I take it that as a minister, he is always praying…. He is not always in the act of prayer, but he lives in the spirit of it…. If you are a Genuine minister of God you will stand as a priest before the Lord, spiritually wearing the ephod and the breast-plate where you bear the names of your children, pleading for them within the veil”
