Divine Simplicity

This morning we study what is perhaps the least known of God's attributes: divine
simplicity. This doctrine does NOT mean that God is simple, as in easy to understand.
It means that God in His essence is not a compilation of parts, like your car. Divine
simplicity insists that God is one, simple, divine essence. This doctrine refutes the idea
many hold today that God is only "love."

This doctrine of divine simplicity helps us to better understand:

1. God is more than love.

2. God's definition of love.

3. God desires love.
