William Carey and the Missionary Vision, Part 1

Our last six studies in the progress of the Protestant Reformation through the centuries have all been leading to here. The gospel that the Protestant Reformers and Puritans recovered is not to be kept to ourselves, it is for the nations. It is not enough to get the gospel right, we must also get the gospel out. Our contention is that William Carey and the world missions movement were the inevitable fruit and climax of the Protestant Reformation. In this first of two lessons we consider: 1. The Times, and then 2. The Influences. Join us as we consider this simple man who expected great things from God and attempted great things for God! (By the way, I unashamedly stole the title of these lectures from Daniel Webber's excellent book, "William Carey and the Missionary Vision", published by Banner of Truth Trust. I only plagiarize from the best!)
