The Essence of Faith Is Obedience

Jesus was the final and great fulfillment of every promise and type in the Old Testament. He walked on Earth as a real man and therefore related to his father as a man. His entire life was a walk of faith and absolute trust in His father. There is no separation therefore between faith and obedience. Obedience is simply faith in action. The human person of Jesus Christ existed for one reason and that was to do the will of God. The purpose of the Holy Spirit in our lives is to make us men and women after God's own heart. The essence of the Christian life is total surrender to the will of God. When our hearts are fully yielded to His will then He can work His purposes in us and through us.
