Pentecost - Power from on High

The strange miracle of what happened on the day of Pentecost fifty days after Christ's resurrection and 10 days after His ascension tells us that only thorough the enabling power of the Spirit was the gospel effectively proclaimed. This is no less true for today.
The fulfilling of Christ's mission to the world can only be accomplished by the enabling power of the Spirit of God. Taking such an anointing for granted or failing to go on being filled with the Spirit will leave us powerless to bear witness to Christ's saving Lordship.
