Down is the New Up

Jesus humbled himself as an example for us, and God therefore exalted him which is also an example for us. We need to understand that God lifting up those who humble themselves is axiomatic. But beyond just an example, our humbling ourselves is adjoining with Christ in his suffering, and we will also be joined with Christ in his exaltation, because our sharing in his exaltation exalts him all the more.
