Sermon Series Title: Restoring the Future

Brief Overview of Series: The title of this 12-sermon series, Restoring the Future, has been chosen to highlight the fact that the prophetic future, as proclaimed in the Great Awakening (c. 1730–1850), was very different from the eschatology that is popular today. This series restores for Christians today the biblical view of the victorious King Jesus reigning at God's right hand until His enemies are made His footstool.

Brief Overview of Sermon 9: Whenever the Lord's people gain ground, the resistance from Satan increases and the battle grows more intense. Ahead of us are two very intense battles: 1) just prior to the millennium (Ezek. 39; Zech. 12); and 2) just prior to the 2nd Advent of Christ, the “great” and final tribulation (Matt. 24:29). In these final struggles, some will stand in the face of death, but others will be providentially protected, even as many of the saints of history have been protected.
