Anticipation

The promises of God are not often fulfilled immediately. This creates anticipation which can lead to impatience followed by a trial of faith and ultimately sin and consequences. The story of Abram, Sarai, and Hagar demonstrates this principle and is a cautionary tale to encourage us to wait on the Lord and to be confident in the promises of God.
