"Chosen, cut to fit and perfectly finished in Christ (place of origin) by divine design."

"And the house, when it was being built, was built of finished stone made ready at the quarry, so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building." 1 Kings 6:7

By design the cornerstone and every other stone used to build the temple was chosen, cut to fit, and perfectly finished at the place of origin (rock quarry) and then brought to Jerusalem to be placed in its designated place.

It reminds me of our Cornerstone and us, living stones, that God is using to build His spiritual house. Chosen, cut to fit and perfectly finished in Christ (place of origin) by divine design. (Is. 28:16 ; Eph. 2 ; 1 Pet. 2)

The workmanship (the creative design of God...a displayed trophy of His redemptive grace) of God created in Christ Jesus (vessels of His mercy) before time ever began.
