Slandering Saints

An attempt to differentiate between discernment and the harsh, critical, and condemnatory spirit dealt with in James 4.11-12. Slander is spreading false information about another person for the purpose of damaging his or her character and reputation. There are two sobering realizations in this text to keep us from slander: Slandering saints place themselves above the Law and above the Lawgiver.
