Setting The Record Straight

A lot of God's people think God is out to spoil their happiness. They think His commandments are for the sole purpose of making life miserable and that He delights in bringing judgment in the form of affliction upon His people when they disobey Him. In these verses God sets the record straight by giving His people a peek into His heart to see what He is really like.
1-God has a kind and benevolent purpose in allowing affliction to come upon His people.
2-God grieves when it is necessary for Him to bring affliction upon His people.
3-God will some day deliver His people from all affliction.
