Zechariah 9

In previous covenant promises made by God, the Euphrates River serves as the northern boundary for the nation of Israel. This is seen in not only the original giving of the Abrahamic Covenant, but also surprisingly for some, in both the Mosaic and the Davidic Covenants as well. Today we will see that this plays an important aspect of the Messiah's preliminary entrance into Jerusalem, only days before His death, but also with His Second Coming as well—just as God has repeatedly stated.
