All Things New

Perhaps you today are planning and anticipating a summer vacation. The prospect of future time off keeps you going through the grind of your job. But where will you spend your eternal vacation? If you are a believer in Christ, you will spend eternity in a new heavens and new earth which God will create. It will be unlike anything we know today, for in it will dwell righteousness! Revelation 21 and 22 reveals that it will be a place where there is no more sea, no more curse, no need for the son or moon to shine for Jesus Christ will illumine heaven. There will be no night there. Time will be no more for we will live in an eternal day. Plus there will be no more tears, sorrow, death, or pain. Disease will be a thing of the past. Memories of our painful past will forever be forgotten. The Bible gives us enough information about the new heavens and earth to whet our appetite, and to give us hope to endure whatever we might be experiencing now, knowing that something far better awaits us. But how to we get to heaven from here? Only one way! Through faith in Jesus Christ!
