Simon the Sorcerer
23rd in a series from the Book of Acts - Acts 8:9-25 recorded in my home studio Citrus Heights, California. Multitudes of both men and women believed and were baptized. Then we come to one of the more controversial passages in the book of Acts. We see the profession of faith by Simon the Sorcerer, only later to discover the improper motivation for coming to the Lord. It says Simon believed and was baptized. He then followed Philip. Peter & John come to solidify the salvations by praying for them to receive the Holy Spirit. Simon's heart is revealed thus being rebuked by Peter and brings into question if his faith was genuine.
