John 23 - Messiah's Last Sukkot

We begin this section of John's Gospel by looking at the significance of the Festival of Booths/Tabernacles {Sukkot} which the Jews did not truly understand. This period of great joy was actually a period of great fear on so many levels. Christ begins by declaring that He is different from even his family, and by implication from the Jews as well. His message has not been well received in Galilee because it is not within their expectations. Yet, He is here to give them God's truth and God's called will hear and accept it.
