Brethren Loved and Elected

By looking at how these three words are used in the OT and how they are imported into the NT without qualification, we are better able to understand their range of meaning. What we see is that there is an election into the visible people of God and there is also an election of the individual to final salvation. These two elections are not the same but they are related.
