v3a Wilderness. Apostate church is in the wilderness, as the true church, Rev 12.6, 14

v3b Beast. Similar to Satan, Rev 12.3 & same basic description as his antichrist, Rev 13.1

• 7 heads; 10 horns; names of blasphemy: Rev 13.1, 5

v3c Scarlet Beast.

v4 Woman arrayed.

v5 Mother of Harlots (fornication). Her adultery begets adultery.

5 fallen: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persian, Greece.
1 is: Rome
1 is yet to come: worldwide… 10 iron/miry clay toes from 2 legs

v11 Satan's man, the beast antichrist, is possessed of Satan

v12 Ten kings coincide w/the 10 toes of Daniel 2

v13 Satan, antichrist, false prophet… are mutually minded, & at times mutually described.

vv14-16 Hatred for the Lord & his people. Jn 15:18

v17. 5th vial, Rev 16.10-11
