Colossians-Chapter 01 - 01

It has been stated that the book of Colossians presents the doctrine of the Person of Christ with greater precision and fullness than in any other of the epistles of Paul. It seems that two elements are addressed at Colosse: (1) the heresy of the Essenes; and, (2) the Gnostic heresy. The providential workings of God in the heritage and life of Paul greatly displays the power and majesty of God.
