The Calling of the Called

Paul's fourth chapter of Ephesians begins the second half of the letter. We may say the first half is primarily doctrinal and the second half is primarily practical. Of course, the two overlap. The "therefore" that begins chapter four looks back to the first three chapters. He identifies his subject as the "walk" of the believer. He has taught them and prayed for them, now he encourages them to walk consistently with their calling.
