Love, Death, Glory

John 11 presents the final galvanizing sign that Jesus is God, and the ultimate purpose of His coming to earth. The entire chapter is a narrative of Jesus love for a family, and the surprising way He expressed His love. Few chapters in the Bible display His humanity and deity as clearly as Jesus groans and weeps and He raises the dead. Jesus is going to let Lazarus die, literally ordain for him to die. Jesus does nothing to stop the sickness. Why? because He loves them all. The glory of God will shine more brightly because he died (v4). God, in His love plans, and ordains pain and loss and delays. He desires His disciples to be satisfied by His greater glory.
