Romans 15:1-6

Glorify God Together!
Main Idea: We must bear the weaknesses of those without strength.
Command: We must please our “weak” neighbor (1-2)
We are to be bearing the weaknesses of those without strength (1a)
We are not to be pleasing ourselves (1b)
We are to please our neighbor (2a)
For his good (2a)
To build him up (2b)
And not to please ourselves (2c)
Biblical Support: For Christ did not please Himself (3)
OT: The example of Christ
The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me (Ps 69:9)
The OT was written for our instruction so that we might have hope (4)
Through endurance
Through the encouragement of the Scriptures
Prayer: May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you… (5-6)
Request: to live in harmony (5)
Purpose: that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (6)
Application: We must glorify God together!
