When We Reach the End of Ourselves

This is, again, a Psalm of David. He is experiencing a time of trial and testing and is almost overwhelmed.. He speaks of an enemy in v3, and we might suppose this to be someone with the same character as Saul or Doeg. By now, we can see from v6 that David is king. Although the king, he is experiencing troubles in the kingdom, perhaps due to loyalists to Saul still causing difficulty and dissent.
