Parallel Affirmations

Against the false teaching that challenged the Thessalonian church, Paul gives thanks for the facts of their redemption and their security within God's great acts of salvation. In two parallel affirmations Paul deals with:

1. Salvation from God's Choice through God's Spirit;
2. Glory from God's Calling through God's truth.
   Have set out his affirmations Paul exhorts the Thessalonians to stand firm and to hold closely to the teachings they had been given.
