Motivations for Godly Living

In Ephesians 5:5-7, two severe warnings serve to underline the admonitions in verses 3-4. These warnings are intended to motivate Christians solemnly to heed them, and they spell out the dire consequences for those who are immoral or sexually covetous. The first (verse 5) speaks with certainty of exclusion from the kingdom of Christ and of God. The second (verse 6) speaks of the experience of the wrath of God.
