Our Kinsman Redeemer

Before the Book of Ruth can be properly understood, God's emphasis in the Old
Testament on both land and children needs to be remembered by us. So important
were these two things that the Lord commanded that a "kinsman redeemer" step in for
any covenant family that was being threatened with either the loss of their land or the
loss of their family's lineage. This Old Testament redeemer was a picture of the coming
Christ.
In Ruth chapter 3 we learn of:

1. The Relative, Boaz.

2. The Threshing Floor.

3. The Love Story.
