God's Regard For His Own Glory Seen In the Saving Of Sinners

God's passion for his own glory is evident in all areas of the created order—and sometimes it is most obvious in places where it seems least likely to glorify God. For example, as this essay illustrates, the darkness of sin provides a sharp contrast for the brilliant splendour of his grace in rescuing helpless sinners. How would his glorious attributes of patience, forgiveness, mercy, justice, and wisdom be shown, were it not for the problem of sin (cf. Romans 5:20–21)? "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief." 1 Timothy 1:15
