The Attacks of Satan in the early Church
Reading Acts 4.32 ff- Chap 51-16
In the Book of Acts we see tremendous growth in the early Church initially.

In Acts 2 Peter preaches and 3000 come into God’s kingdom.

In Acts 3 the crippled man is healed and he praises God amongst the people for his restoration.

Satan hates the work of God he hates the fact that men and women boys and girls might be won to Christ by the church and so he launches his attacks in a number of ways.

Can I remind you that when you become a Christian you join the Lord’s army?
Satan then attacked the Church in 3 ways.

1. First of all Satan used to detainment to attack the early church. (Acts 4. 1-3)
   Peter and John are taken into custody.

2. Secondly Satan tried deception to attack the church. (Acts 5)
   In Acts 5 you have the story of Ananias and Sapphira who tried to deceive the Apostles and the early Church.

3. Thirdly Satan tried division to attack the church. (Acts 6)
   The Greek speaking Jews began to complain against the Hebrews.
