Rest in the Stabilizing Peace of God

God's people can have holy confidence in their God during unstable times.

Psalm 46 is a hymn divided into three stanzas. Stanza one exhorts God's people to rest in His stabilizing peace. We are shown two pictures of God which encourage us to rest in Him.

1. God is my Proven Stronghold. (46:1)

   B. A Ready Helper (46:1b)
2. God is my Permanent Stability. (46:2-3)
   A. A Calming Truth (46:2a)
   B. A Chaotic Time (46:2b-3)
