You Call This Justice, Lord

Sermon Point: Look to the world for justice and die; look to
the God of justice and live.

Outline:

1. When Habakkuk complains about Judah's sin, God sends Babylon in an act of judgment (Habakkuk 1:1-11).
2. Habakkuk is no dummy; he expresses his faith and understanding (Habakkuk 1:12 and 2:1).
3. Yet Habakkuk argues it is unjust to send less righteous Babylon in an act of judgment (Habakkuk 1:13-17).
4. God responds that the vision is set (Habakkuk 2:2-3).
5. Further, there is no real earthly justice; look here and die (Habakkuk 2:4-5).
6. God also reminds Habakkuk the only true justice is in Christ; believe in Him (Habakkuk 2:4 and 1:12).
