The Battle for Worship

The counterfeit ministry of the false prophet will be to direct worship to the counterfeit Christ. Since the fall, Satan's efforts have been centered around turning worship from God to himself. Following the judgment of the worldwide flood, he resumed his efforts to unify man in false worship. God intervened by introducing different languages so mankind spread out from the tower they were building, Genesis 11. Satan's efforts will again be similar during the time of the tribulation as his attempts to globalize man politically, commercially, and religiously under his rule. Behind it all is the culmination of the battle for worship that he has waged to take what is due God alone. As man has worship of God as his ultimate priority, he becomes a target in the devil's battle with God.
