TOUCHING THE HEM OF HIS GARMENT
TEXT: Mark 6:53-56

SUMMARY: This passage illustrates, in the context of what the writing profession might call a "human interest" story, that man in his weakness has great needs, but God in His greatness has even greater power.

I. MAN IN HIS WEAKNESS HAS GREAT NEEDS.
A. Man's neediness is inherent in his natural condition.
B. Man's neediness is evident in the text.

II. GOD IN HIS GREATNESS HAS EVEN GREATER POWER.
A. In this world, man can merely "touch the hem of His garment."
B. But a God who can be touched, even if only the hem of His garment, is worthy of our praise!
