Unelect Israel & The Anguish of Paul

Though Israel was the "chosen people" under the Old Covenant, this was in a physical and not spiritual sense. In Paul's day, his kinsmen were perishing and he could almost "wish himself accursed" on their behalf. But not quite. Because he loved Christ even more than his kinsmen. Nevertheless, it is "not as though the Word of God has failed." God will save those whom He wishes to save from both Jew and Gentile.
